Although Motorola really made a mess of things with their Cyber Monday deal for the Moto X a couple of days ago, they are making up for it later today. As we reported yesterday, today and next Monday you will get a new opportunity to get the Moto X at an off-contract price of just $350. The new promotion will start at 12PM ET, and is pretty simple. Motorola replaced the original direct sales system with a digital promo code reservation system. Here are the new details on how to take advantage:
With the reserved promo code you will basically get a $150 instant coupon off the purchase of either the 16GB or the 32GB version of the Moto X, resulting in a price of $349 or $399 respectively. Just in case this new reservation system is a bit complicated, Motorola also included a handy FAQ, which you can find here: Moto X New Cyber-Monday Deal FAQ
Reservations will open Wednesday at noon EST so you can get $150 off a 16GB or 32GB Moto X through Moto Maker without contract (Developer Editions excluded).
Remember, space is limited, but we will offer another opportunity on Monday 12/9 at noon EST as well.
On top of this deal, Motorola is also throwing in a 30% off promotion on select accessories. This will include cases, headphones and more. To use this offer you just need to apply the promo code “THANKS” on any valid accessory purchase. This deal will go on through Monday, December 9th, which is also the second day of the new Cyber-Monday offer.

Good news folks! Motorola will be lowering the price of all off-contract Moto X smartphones by $150. The 16GB model will be just $349.99. The Cyber Monday discount is valid for all carriers, both 16GB and 32GB storage capacities, and the special Developer Editions available only via its website. Motorola warns that "supplies will be limited" and they'll be providing more details soon. Moto Maker customization is now available for all US carriers so you'll have plenty of color options if you do decide to take advantage of the sale.
The 16GB Moto X is currently priced at $499.99 off contract, so presumably it will be available for $349.99 on Cyber Monday. (The 32GB model should come in at a slightly higher $399.99.)

Some days there are good deals, and some days there are crazy deals. Today is a bit of a crazy day. Amazon is offering the Verizon version of the Moto X for just a penny! Keep in mind that this offer is only for the white or black version. If you want to get the Moto Maker customized version it will still cost you $99.99 through Amazon. Still, if you were looking at either the white or the black version, or if you simply don't care about a customized color scheme for your Moto X, this deal is hard to pass up.
Of course, both of these offers are for new contracts with Verizon only. If you are upgrading your plan, the phone will cost you $49.99, which is still a good deal.
Here are a couple of links below to snap up this offer.

We have reports filtering in that the Verizon version of the Moto X has already started receiving the Android 4.4 KitKat update. This only applies to folks who are Verizon Wireless beta testers in the Motorola Feedback Network. Still, it bods well for am imminent launch of the update to all users. Verizon usually doesn't send out a test update unless it is very close to completion.
If you feel like you might just start seeing pigs fly, you are not alone. It's highly unusual for Verizon to start getting new updates sooner than other carriers for their devices. This suggests they have been working diligently and closely with Motorola to knock out this update quickly. More than likely we can expect the final rollout within the next 3-4 weeks; we'll keep you apprised as things develop.
In the mean-time, if you are one of the lucky soak test partners, don't share how you like it, because we don't want you to get in trouble and lose your Moto Feedback Network status.

Recently we shared the announcement of the new Moto G smartphone from Motorola. It's basically a stripped down version of the Moto X that is designed to be ultra-affordable with an off contract price of just $179.99. The announcement even shared general timeframe details, indicating that the Moto G will ship out in two waves. The first wave will bring it to a smattering of countries across the globe, and the second one will finish with even more countries including the United States.
According to this latest report, the second wave version of the device will actually ship with Android 4.4 KitKat already installed. Wave 2 will ship after Christmas sometime in January.
